Description
Halls Farmhouse is a house built in 1847 in a classical style. It features walls made of red brickwork in Flemish bond, with a slightly projecting center section. The openings have rubbed flat arches set in recesses, with cambered arches on the first floor and round arches on the ground floor, along with a plinth. The low-pitched hipped slate roof covers a symmetrical east front with two storeys and a window arrangement of 1.1.1. The windows are sashes set in reveals. There is a 20th-century plain classical doorcase flanked by narrow windows. At the rear, the roof descends to a lower eaves above a two-storeyed service part of the house, which may be of earlier origin. This section has walls with an unusual bonding pattern of headers alternating with brick-on-edge, along with casement windows, a half-glazed door, and a lead fire insurance sign.
