Description

Beloms is a house, mainly of the mid-18th century, but with earlier origins as a timber-framed structure. The exterior is rendered with a first-floor band and plinth. It has a half-hipped tiled roof. The early 19th century has original sash windows in exposed frames with small surrounding panes. A six-panelled door, with two top glazed panels, is set within a thin architrave, with panelled reveals and a moulded canopy supported by carved brackets. Other walls are of painted brickwork in a Flemish bond pattern. Internally, remnants of the original timber framing remain, along with a 17th-century joist. The general appearance is of the 18th century, with panelled doors within architraves, and a moulded fireplace surround. A deed dating to 1734 relates to the site.
