Description

The bridge, located 50 metres north of the house at Rotherfield Park, is an early 19th-century structure that carries the driveway to the house. It features a Gothic arch spanning a steep ravine, which the winding driveway crosses, making it an integral part of the landscape design for the mansion. The bridge is constructed with brick walls in Flemish bond and has a pointed arch with a deep splay and an outer hoodmould. It is flanked by circular recesses and buttresses, with the retaining wall curving outward to end in plain piers. The parapet is made of stucco and includes Gothic pierced work along with a plain band.
