Description
Old Laundry Bungalow, located north of the House, is a cottage range from the mid 19th century, with a cross wing added in the late 19th century. The building is constructed of brick and stone, topped with a slate roof. It features a long, low profile with a plain slate roof and walls built in Flemish bond, which includes a thin band at the first floor. The west side has Tudor arched openings, while other openings are from the 20th century. The west end unit was historically used as a laundry, leading to the addition of a tall chimney in the north-west corner. This chimney has a base made of yellow brickwork in an octagonal shape, with the upper part encased in coarse flintwork and topped with a conical slate roof. The cross wing connects to an archway built in 1891 by a high wall and is made of ashlar, featuring two gables.
