Description

The gate piers to the drive located 300 meters west of Marwell House are 18th-century structures made of Portland stone. They feature rusticated square piers, with the inner side of each pier having a carved stone gate post. At the top, there is an entablature and a ball finial on a base, which includes a round center with a ball and a square slab decorated with vermiculation. The wrought iron gates, dating from around 1935, complement the stone piers.
