Description

No. 18 The Square is a mid-18th century building that stands three storeys tall and features three windows. It has a hipped, tiled roof of moderate pitch, which is partly hidden behind a tile-hung parapet. The building is constructed of red brick with a pattern of blue headers, and it includes red brick dressings such as a dentil cornice, a string course at the second floor, window jambs, and gauged brick arches. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are set in slightly recessed, moulded frames. On the ground floor, there is an early 20th-century shop front. The rear part of the building has a gabled design from the 17th century. Nos. 18 to 20 form a group.
