Description
Pine View is a row of three cottages that have been converted into a house and shop. Originally built in the late 17th century, the building was refashioned in the late 18th century and has undergone some minor alterations in the 20th century. The exterior features thinly coursed limestone and gritstone rubble, which is rendered on the front elevation, along with gritstone dressings, some of which are painted, and large gritstone quoins. The roof is made of stone slate and has a brick gable end stack on the south side.
The building is two storeys tall and has a plank door and a three-light flush mullion window on the north side. On the south side, there is a 19th-century flush doorcase with a three-light flush mullion window beyond it. Further south, there is another similar doorcase with a two-light flush mullion window beyond. Above these, there are similar windows arranged in the same way. The fenestration includes 19th and 20th-century casements. At the rear, there is a catslide roof covering later extensions.
