Description
This lock-up, located 250 yards northeast of Lane Farm, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble gritstone and features a conical roof made of stepped squared masonry, resting on a square ground floor base. The building has a single bay and two storeys. The southwest elevation includes a plain doorway with a massive surround. On the southeast elevation, there are stacked square window openings with plain surrounds. The northeast elevation displays an external ashlar stack with a stone chimney pot.
