Description
Ravensdale Cottages is a terrace of six cottages built in 1823. The cottages are constructed from rubble limestone with gritstone dressings and feature a stone slate roof that has four ridge stacks and two gable end stacks. The building is two storeys high, with the north elevation comprising six bays. The three eastern bays are lower because the terrace is set into a slope. Each bay contains a two-light chamfered mullion window with a hoodmould and metal Gothick glazing bars. To the right of each bay is a doorway with a flush stone surround, hoodmould, and a plank door. Above each window is a similar single light window. Some of the hoodmoulds show signs of damage.
