Description

Wye Cottage is an early 19th-century cottage located on School Lane in the parish of Rowsley. The cottage is constructed of coursed squared sandstone with sandstone dressings, and has a stone slate roof with one ashlar gable stack. The south elevation has one bay, featuring a 2-light recessed and chamfered mullion window on each floor, fitted with cast iron gothic casements. A doorway with stone lintel and jambs is located to the left, and is covered by a 20th-century gabled timber porch. Similar windows are present on the rear elevation.
