Description

Vernon House is an early 19th-century house located on Bakewell Road in Rowsley. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone with sandstone dressings and features a plain tile roof with coped gables, moulded kneelers, and ashlar gable stacks. The building is two storeys tall and has an L-plan layout. The north elevation is symmetrical with three bays and includes angle quoins. The central doorway has a stone surround and a raised and fielded panelled door, which is flanked by glazing bar sash windows in ashlar surrounds. There are three similar windows located above.
