Description

PARISH OF ROWSLEY BAKEWELL ROAD SK 26 NE 5/169 (South Side) 12.7.67 Vernon House (formerly listed as House Opposite GV the Peacock Hotel) II House. Early C19. Coursed squared sandstone with sandstone dressings. Plain tile roof with coped gables, moulded kneelers and ashlar gable stacks. Two storeys, L-plan. Symmetrical three-bay north elevation. Angle quoins. Central doorway with stone surround and raised and fielded panelled door. Flanked by glazing bar sashes in ashlar surrounds. Three similar windows above.
