Description
The cross shaft, dating from the early 10th century, is made of gritstone and stands approximately 1.5 meters tall. It features carved interlace and ring motifs and is a tapered rectangular shape. The cross was relocated to its current position, which is 12 meters south of the porch of the Church of All Saints, possibly from either Birley Fields Farm in Two Dales, near Matlock, or from Gladwin's Mark, located 5 kilometers east of Beeley. It is designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument with the Derbyshire County number 77.
