Description
This is a barn located approximately 10 metres north-east of Frith Bottom Farmhouse, dated 1740 with later alterations and additions. It is constructed from coursed and dressed rubble and features a tiled roof. The barn has an 'L'-shaped plan on two levels, with a hay loft above the byres. The main front faces south-west and includes a projecting gable to the left. The main section has a symmetrical composition that is offset to the right end, featuring a hay loft door flanked by two casements and four vents on the first floor. Below the hay loft door is another door flanked by top-hung casements. To the left, there is a combined door and window with a fixed-light above, along with stone steps leading to the first-floor door in the angle against the return. The return wing has one door at the extreme left and a date stone at first floor level inscribed "WW 1740".
