Description

Oaks Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse constructed from coursed squared stone with a stone slate roof. It stands two storeys high and features three bays, with a central rear wing. The building has quoins and a plinth. To the right of the central bay, there is a four-panel door set in a chamfered, quoined surround. The ground floor has windows with three, four, and three lights, while the upper floor has three-light windows, all in plain stone surrounds with recessed mullions that are now fronted by wooden mullions. The farmhouse has moulded kneelers, with the left one truncated, and ashlar coping. There are corniced stacks at the ends and on the ridge between the first and second bays.

At the rear, there is a board door on the left, accompanied by a two-light recessed mullioned window, although the mullion has been removed. The wing features quoins and a four-light recessed, chamfered mullion window. Inside, the farmhouse has cross-beams and a 19th-century wall cupboard beside the fireplace at the right end. A wooden stair rises along the side of the wall between the right-hand bays, with a square-panelled partition on its right.
