Description

The Charlesworth Memorial is a chest tomb located 25 meters south of the tower of the Church of Saint Bartholomew in Longnor. It commemorates James Charlesworth, who died in 1842. The tomb is made of plastered stone and features a sarcophagus resting on ball feet, which is set on a moulded plinth. It has a moulded surbase and a concave shape that rises to an urn finial. Surrounding the tomb is an iron railing adorned with foliage heads.
