Description
Corner House is a pair of houses that have been combined into one, built in 1877. The structure is made of tooled, coursed, squared gritstone with ashlar dressings and quoins. It features a steeply pitched plain tile roof with stone coped gables and a moulded eaves cornice. The building has two storeys and two bays, with two central doorcases that have plain surrounds and flat stone hoods supported by two sets of brackets. There are two raised and fielded panelled doors, each topped with a plain rectangular fanlight. On either side of the doors, there are large glazing bar sashes in plain surrounds with dripmoulds above. The upper level has two similar windows, and between them is a stone plaque with an inset oval inscribed 'WG 1877'. This building is included for its group value only.
