Description
The outbuildings at Mill Lane Farm, which include stables and a hayloft, date from the mid-19th century. They are constructed from coursed limestone rubble with gritstone dressings and quoins, topped with a plain tile roof. The building is two storeys high and features irregular window placements.
On the east elevation, to the north, there is a quoined doorcase with a stable door. Flanking this are top-hung casement windows set in quoined surrounds. To the south, stone stairs lead to an upper door, and further south is a plank door in a quoined doorcase alongside a vented window. Above this, there is a small paned window. There is also a plank door at the top of the stairs and a hayloft door to the north. All openings are framed with gritstone quoined surrounds. The outbuildings are included in the listing for their group value.
