Description
The stable block, dating from the 19th century, is located to the east of Hall Cottages. It is constructed from coursed rubble limestone with gritstone dressings, featuring quoins and moulded copings on the gables, along with kneelers and a Welsh slate roof. The building has two storeys and presents an irregular street elevation that includes a small square tower at the north end, which is slate hung and has louvres above, topped with a lead-covered pyramidal roof.
The west elevation is symmetrical, showcasing two quoined doorways flanked by single light windows that have chamfered surrounds, most of which contain glazing bar sashes. The first floor features single light openings with chamfered stone surrounds and four-paned frames. Notably, the north gable displays a clock face. Attached to the north end is a boundary wall made of coursed limestone, topped with saddleback copings and incorporating a gateway with rusticated gate piers that are square in plan and have depressed pyramidal caps.
