Description
Dale Head is a cottage dating from the 18th century, with possible elements from the 17th century, and features a 20th-century extension at the rear. It is constructed from rendered stone with gritstone dressings and quoins, topped with a stone slate roof. The building has a stone gable end stack on the west side. It stands two storeys tall and has a single bay with a double range plan. The street-facing elevation includes a 3-light flush mullion window with a central plain sash, and there is a similar 2-light window above it. On the west elevation, there is a flush doorcase with a plain sash in a flush surround to the south, and above this, a 20th-century casement window is set in a flush surround.
