Description

This structure, known as Term, is located approximately 100 yards north of Beresford Cottage. It dates from the early 20th century and is made of concrete. The sculpture features a female figure dressed in classical clothing, possibly representing Ceres or Demeter, who is holding a horn of plenty. The figure is mounted on a pedestal that has vertical incised lines and tapers towards a moulded base adorned with a leaf motif at the junction. The pedestal has a square section with a moulded base. This sculpture is part of the former gardens of Beresford Hall.
