Description
Hammerton Hall Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1768, constructed from coursed limestone with gritstone dressings and quoins. It features a moulded eaves band, a stone slate roof, and stone coped gables with moulded kneelers. The building has two stone gable end stacks and is two storeys high. The north elevation consists of three bays, along with an extension to the east. The central doorway has a moulded stone surround and a bracketed segmental pediment, with three-light square section flush mullion windows on either side. The first floor has a central round-headed window with impost blocks and a keystone, flanked by additional three-light square section flush mullion windows. There are two cast iron rainwater heads dated 1768. The 19th-century extension to the east features rustication on the north elevation and rock-faced stone on the ground floor, with a doorway that includes a plank door and a window with a single bar sash.
