Description

The Hurst is a house that was originally a pair of cottages, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared gritstone, some of which is massive, and features plain gables and intermediate ridge stacks, topped with a Welsh slated roof. The building stands two storeys high and has a two-window front, with two-light flush mullioned openings that generally have 20th-century joinery. The central doorway has a massive quoined surround but is now blocked to form a window opening.
