Description
This is a pair of cottages dating from the 18th century, located to the southwest of the Wesleyan Reform Chapel in Winster. The cottages are constructed from rubble limestone, with some areas roughcast and featuring gritstone dressings. They have quoins, plain gables, and brick stacks on the intermediate and south gable ends, topped with a Welsh slated roof. The buildings are two storeys high and consist of two bays. Originally, they had 2-light, flush mullioned windows with casements, but the ground floor mullions are now missing. The doorways are plain, with stone lintels; the south end has a plain plank door, while the north end features a four-panelled door set within a rustic trelliswork porch.
