Description
This barn, located approximately 15 meters northeast of Buxton Brow Farmhouse, dates back to the 17th century and has undergone some later alterations. It is constructed from coursed rubble, featuring large blocks at the left-hand end, and is topped with a stone slate roof. The barn has verge parapets supported by corbelled kneelers. There is a hay loft above the byres, and the frontage includes two hay loft doors at the upper level that are widely spaced and offset to the right. The ground floor has four late 19th-century top-hung casement windows, with an entrance positioned between the first and third windows from the left. The left-hand entrance is marked by a heavy lintel and a cyma recta cornice.
