Description
This is a block of three houses located on Bagshaw Hill, built in the early 19th century. The houses are constructed from deeply-coursed dressed gritstone and feature a graduated Welsh slate roof.
The block consists of two and three storeys, with the ground falling to the right. It has a four-window range, with 3/3 sash windows that have flush stone sills and deep lintels, except for the top floor where the windows are set beneath the eaves.
No. 3, on the left, is two storeys high and has a trellised wooden porch with a shaped bargeboard, featuring a part-glazed door. There is a window on each floor to the left. No. 2 has a part-glazed door under a canopy to the right of a window on each floor, and it also features two round tie-rod plates. No. 1 is similar in design but mirrored, lacking a first-floor window between Nos. 1 and 2. The right corner of the block is angled but corbelled out above the first floor.
The block has corniced stone stacks at the left end and at the ridge to the left of No. 2. The right end of the roof is hipped, with a rolled lead ridge and hip. The interior has not been inspected.
