Description
The Pepper Inn, which was formerly known as the Manor House, is a house that once served as an inn, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and features a clay tile roof along with rough faced ashlar integral end stacks. The building stands three storeys high and has three windows on the front, all of which are mullioned. The windows have two lights, except for the ground floor window to the right and the second floor window to the right, which has lost its mullion. The ground and first floor windows have plain mullions, while the second floor windows feature chamfered mullions. Notably, the central window on the first floor is circular, and there is a central door with lancet panels. To the left, there is a low attached stable extension that includes, from left to right, a casement window, a lancet panel door, another casement window, a battened door, and a final casement window. The building is set into the hillside at the back.
