Description
Broad Ecton Farmhouse is a farmhouse and workman's cottage, dating from 1824. It is constructed of coursed and squared rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings, and has a clay tile roof with coped verges. The building has a single-range, three-room plan. It is two storeys high with four windows. The windows have flat-faced mullions containing 20th-century casements; those on the ground floor to the left and right have three lights, while those on the ground floor centre and the first floor have two lights. A half-glazed door is located on the right-hand side, approached by a 20th-century lean-to porch with a three-light casement window to the left of centre. A low, two-storey extension adjoins the left side, featuring a board door and casements.
