Description

Rock House is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century and the early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble limestone with sandstone dressings and features stone slate and Welsh slate roofs.

The building has two storeys and a two-window range, with an earlier wing at the rear right side facing the road. On the garden front, there is a glazed 20th-century door beneath a stone lintel, with a 2/2 sash window to the left and a 4/8 sash window to the right. There is another door and a small casement window leading into an outbuilding under the same roof on the left. On the first floor, there are two 8/8 sash windows that rise as corniced, flat-roofed dormers. The right side facing the road features a brick end stack and a brick ridge stack.

On the right return, there are two 4/4 sash windows and an 8/8 sash window on the ground floor, along with a 2-light square-faced mullioned window on each floor, both glazed with 4/4 sashes, and an end stack. A lean-to on the right has a boarded door. The left return has a small flight of stone steps leading to a boarded loft door. The interior has not been inspected.
