Description
The gates and gateway located approximately 150 yards north-east of Holystone Grange were built in the early 20th century. They are made of ashlar and wrought iron. The structure features tall, corniced, rusticated gatepiers that have fluted friezes and ball finials. The double gates are designed in an elaborate Rococo style. On either side, there are similar pedestrian gates that are flanked by lower rusticated piers, which also have pulvinated friezes and ball finials. Surrounding these gates are stretches of concave walling that end in similar piers.
