Description
The gateway in the grounds of Holbeck Manor dates from the late 17th century and the 19th century. It is constructed from ashlar stone and features wrought iron elements. The design includes a tiled gable and a semi-circular continuous moulded architrave, with a wrought iron gate. Flanking the gateway are fluted Ionic pilasters that stand on high plinths, each supporting a single pair of dosserets beneath a modillion pediment. On either side of the gateway are lower 19th-century wrought iron railings that end in plain rectangular ashlar piers. The gateway was moved from Eastage House in Lincoln. Holbeck Manor itself is not included in this listing.
