Description
Beech Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid 17th century, which was refaced in the late 18th century. It is likely timber framed and constructed of red brick. The building features a hipped corrugated roof with thatch underneath, and has a single ridge and a lateral right red brick stack. The farmhouse is two storeys high and consists of six bays.
The entrance has a segmental arched doorway with a part glazed door. To the far left of the doorway is a single tripartite casement window, followed by a single casement, a smaller casement, and another single casement on the far right. Above the doorway, there is a single sash window, to the right of which is a single casement, and two Yorkshire sashes, with a similar single Yorkshire sash on the far right. At the rear of the building, there is a lean-to. Internal evidence indicates that several posts from the original structure are still present.
