Description

The gateway opposite Fulbeck Hall dates back to 1583 and is constructed from ashlar stone. It features early 19th-century wrought iron gates. The gateway is supported by plain flanking pilasters that hold up moulded cornices. The frieze includes an entablature with a plaque displaying the date 1583, flanked by two single shields that bear the initials TF and MF. At the top, the moulded pediment contains a heraldic device. This gateway is believed to have been relocated from Tudely, Kent.
