Description
Manor Farm is a house dating from the 17th century, with significant rebuilding completed in 1884. The lower walls are made of coursed limestone rubble, while the upper sections feature ashlar stonework, with ashlar quoins and dressings. The roof is slate, with kneelers, stone-coped gables topped with ball finials, and two moulded ridge stacks. The building has a T-plan layout, with a west front that consists of three bays and two storeys; the right-hand bay is slightly advanced.
The central entrance features a 19th-century panelled door with a moulded surround and a drip mould. Above the door is a panel inscribed with "H. Fane, 1884." To the left of the door is a three-light mullioned window, while to the right is a four-light similar window. Both windows have cavetto moulded mullions, and the moulded reveals are believed to be from the 17th century. On the first floor, there are two single windows with two and three lights, respectively, all of which have cornices. Above the right-hand first-floor window is a recessed square panel displaying the arms of the Fanes.
