Description

Drinking fountain erected in 1897 for the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria. It is made of ashlar and cast-iron. The fountain features a gabled stone wall approximately 6 feet high with a flat coping, inscribed with "ERECTED BY SUBSCRIPTION." Set into this wall is an elaborate cast-iron drinking fountain that has a fluted oval bowl and a scalloped shell top. Above the bowl is a profile medallion of Queen Victoria, inscribed with "1837 VR 1897," and flanked by two griffins.
