Description
Greystead Rectory is a rectory, now a private house, built in 1818 by H.H. Seward for the Commissioners of Greenwich Hospital. The building is constructed of ashlar stone and features a graduated Lakeland slate roof. It is two storeys high with attics and has three bays, along with a single-storey lean-to on the right side. There are steps leading up to a central 20th-century glazed door. The ground floor has tripartite sash windows set in broad chamfered surrounds, while the first floor features 9-pane sashes. The roof is gabled with raised and ridged coping, and there are corniced stacks at each end.
Inside, the rectory includes a staircase with stick balusters and a ramped handrail, as well as six-panel doors and panelled shutters.
