Description

Brow Cottages, also known as Allantoft Cottage, is a house that likely dates from the 18th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of rubble sandstone and has a pantile roof. The building is two stories tall and features a two-window front, with a one-story lean-to porch on the left side, which is in front of a small pent extension. The porch contains a 20th-century part-glazed door.

On the ground floor, there are two 4-pane sash windows with herringbone-tooled lintels, and a small 4-pane fixed light firewindow at the left end. The first floor also has 4-pane sash windows. All windows have stone sills. The gables are coped, and there are block kneelers. The house has end stacks, with the right stack having a cornice and the left stack being cornice-banded. The porch is not considered to be of special interest.
