Description
The drinking fountain, dated 1904, is located to the north of Lealholm Bridge in Glaisdale. It is made of rockfaced stone and iron, designed in the Art Nouveau Baroque style. The fountain features a small hutch set into the slope of the bank, topped with an ogee-curved roof and a front cornice. There is a central arched niche adorned with large voussoirs and a smooth keystone that displays the date and initials. An iron standpipe, marked with the maker's name Ham, Baker and Co. Ltd. from Westminster, is present, along with a grilled drain and a chained iron cup on the right side.
