Description
The Wesleyan Chapel, dated 1839, is constructed of coursed herringbone-tooled sandstone and features a purple slate roof. It is a single tall storey building with three bays. The main entrance consists of a double door with six ornamental panels, located between the first and second bays, set within a coved two-centred-arched doorway that has a hooded fanlight above. There are three sash windows with glazing bars and interlaced heads, each set in pointed-arched surrounds that rest on a cill band. Above the door is a square panel adorned with fan-patterned spandrels and an oval plaque that reads "W.C. Erected A.D. 1839." The chapel is finished with stone ridge and end copings and curved kneelers. On the east side, there is a similar doorway and a window positioned high up. Additionally, there is a small one-storey extension on the south-east side, while the west end of the building is blank.
