Description

No. 30 High Street is a house dating from the late 18th century, though it has earlier origins. It is constructed of squared coursed sandstone rubble and features a pantile roof with brick stacks. The layout consists of a hearth-passage and a two-room plan. The building stands two storeys high and has two windows on the first floor. The entrance includes a six-panel door with glazed top panels and a stone lintel, flanked by two unequal 12-pane sash windows, each with stone sills and lintels. The first-floor windows mirror those on the ground floor. The roof is very steeply pitched, with end stacks and a central stack, which likely indicates the building's earlier origins.
