Description

Hall Cottage is a house that dates from the early 19th century, although it may have an older core. The building is constructed from roughly-coursed rubble with quoins and features a pantiled roof with stone copings and kneelers, along with rebuilt brick stacks. It is two storeys high and has three bays, which are laid out in a very irregular manner. To the right of the centre, there is a 20th-century part-glazed door set in a quoined chamfered surround. The right bay contains a 20th-century three-light casement window in an enlarged opening, while above it is a two-light window of similar style, and a smaller two-light window is located over the door. The left bay is mostly blank, except for a small 20th-century window on the ground floor. The building features curved kneelers and has chimneys at the centre and right end. Hall Cottage is included for its group value.
