Description
Hazelwood is a house dating from around 1750, which was remodeled in 1867. It is constructed of coursed rubble limestone with sandstone dressings and features a slate roof and brick stacks. The building originally had a central stairhall plan and is 1½ rooms deep. It is two stories tall with a symmetrical three-window front and raised quoins. The central entrance has a 20th-century glazed door with a rectangular fanlight above it. The windows are sashes with stone sills and lintels, except for the upper center window, which has a pedimented flat window head that encloses a carved swag inscribed '18 H H 67' and features a sill supported by consoles. The house has coped gables, kneelers, and end stacks.
