Description

East View is a house built in the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of dressed limestone with sandstone quoins and features a pantile roof and brick stacks. The building has a central staircase plan and is one and a half rooms deep. It is two storeys high with a symmetrical front that has three windows. The quoins are chamfered and milled. The central entrance has a half-glazed door topped by a rectangular fanlight with glazing bars. The windows are sixteen-pane sashes, although the upper centre window is false. All openings have raised surrounds with triple keystones, and the gables are coped with end stacks.
