Description

Moorfield is a house built in the mid-18th century, constructed from dressed sandstone with limestone dressings and a slate roof, featuring rebuilt brick stacks. The house has a central staircase plan and is 1½ rooms deep. It stands two stories high with a symmetrical three-window front. The building has raised quoins and a central panelled door set in a quoined surround with a keystone. The windows are 16-pane sashes within architraves, complete with stone sills. There is a raised band at the first-floor level and a moulded eaves cornice. The gables are coped, with kneelers and end stacks.
