Description
This boundary stone, dated 1798, is located approximately 990 meters northeast of Skelderskew Farmhouse. It is made of roughly-dressed limestone and measures about 38 centimeters by 28 centimeters, standing 89 centimeters high. The south face of the stone is inscribed with 'RC 1798 G'. It marks the boundary between the parishes of Lockwood and Commondale, as well as the counties of Cleveland and North Yorkshire.
