Description
Red House Farmhouse, dated 1692 above the door, features alterations and is constructed from large coursed, squared stone with a moulded eaves cornice. The pantiled roof has stone copings and curved kneelers, with off-centre and end chimneys made of brick and stone. The walls show remains of blocked chamfered and stone-mullioned windows. The building is now two storeys high with three irregularly placed, very wide windows that have large modern casements. A new door has been added in a moulded and chamfered doorway, although the original pedimented hood has been removed. There are two gabled rear extensions. Adjacent to the farmhouse is a two-storey, three-bay barn made of similar materials, which has a blocked door, a first-floor loading door, and vent slits, along with a one-storey outshot.
