Description

The Vicarage is a late 18th-century building, possibly incorporating an earlier structure, with an enlargement dating to 1906. The front and right return are constructed from roughly-dressed limestone, while extensions to the rear and left return are built from variegated brick in an English garden wall bond. The roof is slate-covered, and the chimney stacks have been rebuilt in brick. Originally designed with a central entrance, the building was later extended to the left. The front facade presents a two-story, three-window arrangement, with a two-story, single-window extension. A six-panel door is located beneath a divided overlight and is flanked by 16-pane sash windows with painted tooled sills. Matching windows are found on the first floor. Painted tooled lintels are present above all openings, with keyblocks on the ground floor. End chimney stacks are visible. The roof is hipped to the right. The extension features two single-light windows on the right of the ground floor, and a 12-pane horizontal-sliding sash window on the first floor.
