Description

Beachholme is a house, possibly from the 18th century, that has undergone some alterations. It features very worn coursed sandstone with various toolings, which may be re-used, and has an incised rendered west end along with a brick porch. The roof is pantiled, with stone copings and kneelers, and there is an old brick stack. The oriels are covered with plain tiles.

The entrance is located on the two-storey, one-bay west gable end, which has a six-panel top-glazed double door set in a gabled porch. The porch has a right section that is set back and reduces in height with the slope of the path. To the left of the entrance, there is a modern fixed light and a casement window above.

The south front of the house has three storeys and an attic, with three bays. The ground storey is at a lower level. There is an off-centre half-glazed double door, a small casement window to the right, and a large transomed casement window to the left. On the first floor, there is a central half-glazed double door that opens onto a full-width wood balcony, flanked by square oriels with pent roofs. The top floor features transomed windows with fancy top glazing in the centre and to the right, and a wider new window on the left. There are also two flat-headed 20th-century dormers. The right end has a brick chimney, while the left end has a rendered chimney, both with copings and concave kneelers.
