Description

The boundary stone is one of a pair, dated 1784, located on Sneaton Whinstone Ridge. It is made of gritstone and stands approximately 1.5 meters high, tapering towards the top. The east face of the stone is inscribed with "SNEATON L Assize 1784." The second stone marks the extent of the parish of Goathland.
