Description
This is a line of five boundary stones located between the civil parishes of Sneaton and Eskdaleside-cum-Ugglebarnby. They date from the late 18th century and are made of gritstone. The stones are rectangular monoliths, with some being uninscribed while others have inscriptions on the east face. One stone, located at grid reference 860025, marks the boundaries of Eskdaleside, Sneaton, and Goathland, and is inscribed with "SNEATON LIBERTY" (though the word is defaced) and the year 1784.
