Description

Ann's Cross is a medieval waymarker and boundary cross located in Goathland. It is made of stone and features a hollow square socket stone with a broken cross shaft, standing approximately 1.1 metres high. This cross marked the boundary of the old Whitby Strand and served as a waymarker on the ancient road from Whitby to Pickering, passing through Red Gate and May Beck.
